Take in a concert at Harpa
Take a trip to Vestmannaejar .
This archipelago in the south of Iceland was the site of a volcanic eruption in 1973 on the island of Heimaey. Take some time to explore and visit some of the excellent museums and the site itself. There is a wonderful spot to watch Puffins as well.
Ride an Icelandic Horse
Take a tour of a lava field whilst on a Icelandic horse. These hardy stocky horses will take you on a trail ride while you admire the amazing landscape.
Go for a run
Running Iceland has some routes all set out for you to take in the sites whilst getting in your daily run. Places like Hofdi house and the Sun Voyager sculpture can be seen as you run along the harbour
Visit Videy Island and the Imagine Peace Tower
Yoko Ono unveiled the Imagine Peace Tower on October 9th 2007 on the island of Videy. Videy is just a short boat trip from the city of Reykjavik. The peace tower is illuminated on October 9th until December 8 from 8 until midnight
Take a stroll through The Einar Jonsson Sculpture Park
Take a picnic to this beautiful sculpture park in the center of Reykjavik. The thought provoking sculptures are truly amazing. One of his casts of Jon Sigurdsson also sits in front of the Manitoba Legislative building in Canada.
Head to an Icelandic swimming pool.
Hang out with the locals. You can meet up with all your fellow tourist at the airport. Icelanders relax at the many public pools around the country.
Eat some new Food
Iceland has the most amazing water therefore the coffee is excellent. The dairy is also delicious try some Skyr as well as some Icelandic cheese. All of this is after you have eaten some of the amazing seafood.
